Plot

See how the feud between the upper-class Vampires and the lower-class Lycans started. One Lycan, Lucian, evolves to become the leader of the Lycans but, as fate would have it, he's in love and having a relationship with the vampire leader's daughter; a forbidden love to say-the-least.

Pros

This film fills in the blanks that the original film had concerning when and how this feud got started. There's a ton of action and the acting, especially that of Nighy, was a notch above what I was expecting from this film.

Cons

Everything was filmed at night; make sure you watch this in a dark room. And if you;ve already seen the first Underworld movie, you know how this film is going to end.

Recommendation

Fans of this franchise will enjoy this film. It's nothing spectacular or ground breaking but it does entertain. This film clocks in at 92 minutes, easily the shortest of the three films in this franchise, which leads me to wonder if we can expect a Special Edition Director's Cut in the near future?
