Plot

Bad guys are getting knocked off in NYC. Two cops and longtime partners (De Niro, Pacino) are not only investigating these murders but one of them becomes a suspect.

Pros

Well, the obvious plus to this movie is that De Niro and Pacino are both in it have spend a lot of screen time together. Yes, they are aging, but they are still two of the best and most iconic actors in the business. And, if you look, you will notice other fine actors in the supporting cast.

Cons

Ok, to be honest, this isn't the best script in the world and I figured out the ending about halfway through it. Both actors are over 65 years of age so their days of "action" movies have since passed. And where are the extras? We finally get these two people together and Pacino isn't even in the short making-of featurette.

Extras

  • Audio Commentary with Producer/Director Jon Avnet
  • "The Investigation: An In-Depth Look at Righteous Kill" Making Of Featurette
  • "The Thin Blue Line: An Exploration of Cops & Criminals" Featurette
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Digital Copy

Recommendation

This is an average movie with two great actors and movie critics seemed to take great joy in ripping it. And let's face it, most people including me would watch anything with De Niro and Pacino in it and if you go into it with that in mind you will find this movie to be entertaining and something you'd watch again.
